MBCTBoston

The Mindful Route Through Depression And Anxiety.

Struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety can sap the joy out of life. Psychotherapy often helps. So does medication. But now there's something more you can do. It's an innovative, 8-week group program called Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) that has been clinically proven to bolster recovery from depression and prevent relapse. And today it's available to people in the Boston area who are looking for an effective new way to free themselves from the grip of depression and anxiety.

Welcome to MBCT/Boston.

In the 8-week MBCT/Boston program, you'll learn a variety of ways to use mindfulness -- which we define as non-judgmental awareness of your experience in the present moment -- to work with the painful thoughts, feelings and physical sensations associated with depression, anxiety, and other forms of distress. By practicing mindfulness in the group and at home, you can start relating to these unpleasant experiences with more acceptance and ease instead of with denial, avoidance, and other habitual, self-defeating defenses. And in the process, you can prevent them from spiraling into full-blown depression and anxiety.
